Weatherwood Design is committed to preserving the intrinsic beauty of Bucks County's native flora. Owner David Hughes, RLA, is a resident expert in local flora and habitats, and is highly experienced in designing projects that blend into their natural, cultural, and historic settings. Specific expertise applicable to townships and municipalities includes hedgerow restoration, meadow design, stream restoration, and ecological signage and education. Given the current strain on many municipal budgets, an important feature to note regarding native plantings is that they require much less care than non-native plants. This includes less water, no fertilizer, and little to no pesticides. So not only is going native ecologically responsible, it also makes economic sense.
